Description

This Bolle Branded prescription lens package will include a credit card certificate for authenticity. It will be fitted into your chosen eyewear and quality control checked by Eyekit prior to dispatch to ensure the quality and accuracy of your prescription. It comprises the following as summarised in the title:

Bolle - These are high definition (HD) lenses which use the latest free-form technology incorporating Bolle’s B-thin/VARIODrive Technology where applicable (not compatible with prisms or applied to low prescriptions). They use a digital design process that gives lens designers the ability to reduce lens aberrations even more than they can using conventional lens design and processing techniques. Lighter and thinner than standard lenses they provide exceptional night/low light vision reducing glare and halo effects from car headlights. They also offer exceptional contrast perception sharpening vision and improved colour rendition providing brighter and more intense colours. This is particularly important for varifocals and highly curved lenses as it ensures they provide the best vision across the whole curvature of the lens avoiding optical distortions that can occur in the periphery area of vision. These prescription lenses are customised to compensate for lens curvature. This means that you will have clearer vision throughout your field of view compared to other lenses.

General Varifocal - These are the most common varifocal lenses on the market. They offer balanced progression from near, intermediate and distance vision. Ideal for the office and everyday wear.

  • Distance Vision - Wide and distortion free far vision zone. Range - To infinity
  • Intermediate Vision - Power profiles specifically designed for todays modern lifestyles and the frequent use of digital devices. Range 50-70cm
  • Near Vision - Designed to minimise head tilts for a comfortable reading prescription - Range 30-50cm
  • Peripheral Vision - Medium vision across the height of the lens

Super Sports Lenses - Made from a unique material called NXT, it optimises the qualities of standard CR39, Mid-Index and polycarbonate prescription lenses while leaving out their inherent weaknesses. In fact, these lenses do not have any weaknesses. Originally made for the windscreens of apache gunships, it will stop a bullet! Its transparency and stability over time are exceptional (no cracking). It is ultra-light, has exceptional optics, is unbreakable and solvent-resistant.

Photochromic - In this lens package you can choose a number of branded Bolle photochromic options and filter categories. Also known as 'Transition' or 'Reaction' lens filters, photochromic lenses are a state-of-the-art, high contrast, light reactive lens that changes lens tint density with the changing light conditions providing comfortable vision whatever the light intensity. Some options include a flash mirror coatings. Select your choice of Bolle prescription lens options from the prescription page menu as follows:

  • Phantom Black Gun - Rose lens Category 2-4 with 18% to 5% LTF and silver mirror. High contrast lens for bright conditions. Ideal for winter mountaineering and desert use. Not suitable for driving.
  • Phantom Brown Gun - Light Brown to Dark Brown, Category 2-3 with 31% to 13% LTF and silver mirror. High contrast lens for medium to sunny conditions. Ideal for winter sports, tennis and target sports.
  • Phantom Clear Grey - Clear to Grey, Category 0-3 with 90% to 12% LTF. They are ideal for wearing indoors or in cloudy to bright sunny days.
  • Phantom Vermillion Gun - Vermillion, category 1-3 with 47% to 11% LTF. High contrast lens ideal for winter sports and target sports.

Options:

  • Anti-Reflective coating - These lenses are available, if selected, with Bolle's 'Anti-Reflective' coatings. In addition to the hard coating that is included on all lenses, it includes an additional anti-reflective coating which prevents those annoying reflections on the inside of the lens, eliminating interference glare and ghost images, reducing eye strain.
  • Mirror - Some options above include a flash mirror coating which is good for situations that require a reduction in the overall brilliance of light, such as sunlight on snow or roads.

Specification:

  • Lenses include Bolle's logo for authenticity and are customised to compensate for lens curvature.
  • Lens category 0 - 4 dependent on selection.
  • 100% UV protection.
  • RX Range +6.00 to -8.00. Opposite cyls to 4.00 (Higher powered prescriptions are available for certain styles. If needed, please contact us to check availability).

Please Note: It is our goal to provide the best in cosmetic and optically functional eyewear. Some Rx lenses and frame combinations are not ideally matched and may require a different frame choice. The thinning process of B-Thin/VARIODrive Technology is not compatible with prisms and may not be applied to low prescriptions, depending on frame width and PD measurement.
