These protective safety glasses from Bolle are designed to take prescriptions.They are CE marked against the P.P.E. Directive 1995, also meeting the requirements of BS EN166:2002.
All Prescription Protective Eyewear Lenses will be marked Optical Class 1, as long as the requirements for ISO 8980 -1 and ISO 8980 - 2/ International Glazing Standard BSENISO 21987 are met. Our glazers work to ISO 9001:2000 and all products are licensed within the BSI kitemark scheme.

Clear Lens: The clear lens technology approved for permanent wear and certified with perfect optical quality with anti-fog and anti-scratch coatings. 100% UV filtration.
Yellow comfort lens: A technology designed and used in case of low light situations improving contrast. Approved for permanent wear and certified with perfect optical quality, the yellow comfort technology is with anti-fog and anti-scratch coatings. 100% UV filtration.
Smoke Lens: A technology approved for permanent wear and certified with perfect optical quality. Bolle's standard smoke lens provides excellent protection against UV and solar radiations with anti-fog, anti-scratch coatings. 100% UV filtration.
Mirror Lens: Bolle's mirror lenses offer a reflective optical coating for light and glare as well as filtration of infrared light waves, a source of cataracts.
Contrast Lens: A revolutionary gradient lens coating that provides a superior alternative to the standard clear lens. The Contrast lens enhances visual acuity while blocking 30% of blue light waves that are harmful to your eyes. The result is sharper, clearer images and less eyestrain and fatigue. Choose the Contrast lens over a clear lens in every instance for protection from the harmful effects of exposure to neon lights, computer screens and other forms of light pollution. Additionally, Bollé Safety's unique UV absorbers and flash treatment eliminates overheating of the cornea, a source of conjunctivitis. And Bolle's Contrast lens may assist in reversing the ageing process of the crystalline lens, a source of cataracts. Filters 99.99% UVA, UVB up to 400 nm and 30% blue and infrared light.
Twilight Lens: Built on the successful platform of Bollé Safety's ESP coating system. Twilight technology offers the added benefit of anti-fog coating on both sides of the lens to prevent fogging in the most challenging conditions. The high contrast, high definition and excellent light transmission is ideal for low light, outdoor work environments, particularly early morning and late evening. Twilight filters 76% of blue light.
ESP Lens: ESP (Extra Sensory Perception) is an innovative coating that enhances the ability to see detail and improve contrast without distorting colours by reducing glare, eyestrain and the harmful effects of blue light. ESP filters 57% of blue light while delivering 64% visible light transmission and 99.99% UVA/UVBprotection.
HD lens: A unique treatment for clarity and exceptional light transmission. The HD coating can be used for every type of job except those that require solar protection for industrial use. Safety's HD lens delivers a rate of transmission of visible light of 96 %, against 90% for the classic clear lenses. The hydrophobic coating and HD technology join together to form a real waterproof polymer barrier against water droplets.
Polarized Lens: Light can bounce and reflect off a myriad of surfaces, such as water, snow and the road. A technology approved for permanent wear and certified with perfect optical quality, Bollé Safety polarizing technology removes the glare and the stress it causes to your eyes. The lenses block virtually 99.99% of UVA/UVB rays, protection that goes well beyond government and commercial standards. Ideal for the maritime.

Blue Flash lens: 100% UV filtration, 90% visible light, 47% IR.

We are constantly monitoring the progress of all orders and will endeavour to dispatch your order within 10 working days or within the timeframe specified above for prescriptions. However, if this is not possible we will notify you by email and let you know the estimated delivery date.
If there is no one available to sign for your order, Royal Mail will leave a notification card and your order will be taken to your local post office where it will be available for collection. As an alternative, at checkout, you can change the delivery address to your workplace or another location where your parcel can be signed for.

Prescription Orders
Over 95% of orders dispatched are delivered within the timeframes stated above, however, due to the nature of the glazing process, we can not guarantee specific delivery dates on prescription orders. Prescription lenses are made to very high standards with low tolerance for errors and are rigorously checked at all stages of production. Any error in the prescription across the lens, deficiencies in the coating or blemishes that cannot be removed means the lens would need to go back in production and re-made. All prescription lenses are also rigorously checked at Eyekit before dispatch and any errors will mean that the lenses as sent back to the glazer for replacing. We have a zero tolerance for errors to ensure our customers receive prescription eyewear to the highest standards and we will not compromise on these standards even if it means delivering eyewear later than expected. Your eyesight is perhaps your most important sense and you deserve the best sight possible.
