Description

This prescription lens package will be fitted into your chosen eyewear and quality control checked by Eyekit prior to dispatch to ensure the quality and accuracy of your prescription. It comprises the following as summarised in the title:

General Varifocal - These are the most common varifocal lenses on the market. They offer balanced progression from near, intermediate and distance vision. Ideal for the office and everyday wear.

  • Distance Vision - Wide and distortion free far vision zone. Range - To infinity
  • Intermediate Vision - Power profiles specifically designed for todays modern lifestyles and the frequent use of digital devices. Range 50-70cm
  • Near Vision - Designed to minimise head tilts for a comfortable reading prescription - Range 30-50cm
  • Peripheral Vision - Medium vision across the height of the lens.

Thin & Lite Lenses These'Thin & Litelenses are thinner and lighter than our standard 'Lifestyle' prescription lenses. They reduce the edge thickness in minus prescriptions and the centre thickness in plus prescriptions. This makes the lenses thinner and lighter to wear for both types of prescriptions while maintaining their optical performance. Recommended for prescriptions where your prescription is between 2 and 4 spheres.

High Definition - The High Definition Varifocal lenses are the best and latest lens designs on the market today. They offer all the advantages of the Performance lenses but are optimised in such a way that they provides a wider distance, intermediate and near area.

They use the latest free-form technology, a digital design process that gives lens designers the ability to reduce lens aberrations even more than they can using conventional lens design and processing techniques with the standard option. Lighter and thinner than standard lenses they provide exceptional night/low light vision reducing glare and halo effects from car headlights. They also offer exceptional contrast perception sharpening vision and improved colour rendition providing brighter and more intense colours. This is particularly important for varifocals and highly curved lenses as it ensures they provide the best vision across the whole curvature of the lens avoiding optical distortions that can occur in the periphery area of vision.

Crystal Vision - These lenses include our 'Crystal Vision' coatingsA multi-layer anti-reflective coating on both sides of the lens with hydrophobic top coat applied over a hard coat to give excellent visual performance and durability. Key benefits:
  • Scratch Resistant Coating - Reduces scratching and abrasions over time, keeping the lens clearer for longer and maximising vision quality and useful life of the lens over non coated lenses.
  • Anti-reflective Coating - Prevents those annoying reflections, eliminating interference glare and ghost images, reducing eye strain and improves vision.
  • Hydrophobic Coating - This water repellent coating is similar to a wax coating on a car, it helps to shed water droplets and avoids smudging. Also, water is not attracted to the lens surface in humid conditions (steam, condensation etc). Ideal for outdoor use such as playing football on rainy days or for spray when sailing.

Specification:

  • Lens Make - Digitor Plus DHD. The Digitor dual surface progressive lens features a variable front surface base curve. A surface innovation that provides the optically ideal base curve in all viewing zones. This front surface innovation provides benefits to wearers in both the distance and near zones. Wearers enjoy noticeably increased acuity in the periphery of the distance zone, as well as a reading area that is wider and more comfortable.
  • Index - 1.60. (The higher the index, the thinner and lighter the lenses).
  • Abbe - 41. (The higher the abbe value, the better the optical clarity of the lens).
  • Density - 1.23g/cm cubed.
  • UV Protection - 395nm.
  • Prescription Range: (Max. Power +7.00 to -8.00).+7.00 to - 8.00 Spheres with opposite Cyls to 6.00.

Maximum prescription levels available for your selected glasses or sunglassesPrescription strength of up to a combined maximum power of +7.00 to -8.00. That is the combined power of your sphere and cylinders together must not be more that +7.00 to -8.00 for this frame.

Options available:

Please Note: After you have placed your order we will send the frame out to you for you to make sure they fit correctly and also for you to take a picture wearing them. Prescription Orders

Over 95% of orders dispatched are delivered within the timeframes stated above, however, due to the nature of the glazing process, we can not guarantee specific delivery dates on prescription orders. Prescription lenses are made to very high standards with low tolerance for errors and are rigorously checked at all stages of production. Any error in the prescription across the lens, deficiencies in the coating or blemishes that cannot be removed means the lens would need to go back in production and re-made. All prescription lenses are also rigorously checked at Eyekit before dispatch and any errors will mean that the lenses as sent back to the glazer for replacing. We have a zero tolerance for errors to ensure our customers receive prescription eyewear to the highest standards and we will not compromise on these standards even if it means delivering eyewear later than expected.
