Indoor - Badminton to Squash

There is a risk of serious eye injury during any racket sport. One misdirected shot or contact with the racquet is all it takes to lose or damage an eye. Even relatively minor damage sustained during a match can have disabling or prolonged effects. According to The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), squash balls are responsible for 2,000 hospital admissions in the UK each year, while squash rackets account for around 2,400. It is now estimated that one in three squash players are likely to suffer some form of eye injury during their playing career. Since 1997, the Squash Rackets Association Doubles Rules (Appendix 10) state that eye protectors are mandatory and in some specified events for juniors under 19 years old.
