All Ruddy Projexts sunglasses are entirely conceived, designed, engineered and made in Italy using advanced maeterilas and innovative manufacturing processes. They are designed by biometric engineers and tested by professional athletes to provide unparalleled comfort and a perfect fit.

The Ergonose system, a proprietary stainless steel core coinjected with a specially formlated thermoplastic elastomer is at the heart of this adjustable nosepiece, offering extraordinary fit factor for any face confiduration. Puddy Project emplys non-slip components that do not fail in the heat of the moment. This unique technology ensures maximum comfort, a perfect fit during any use and eliminates fogging and pinching. This solution maeks thier product a perfect choice for Asian head configurations.

The 360 degree Fully Adjustable Tips cn be adjusted in any direction by applying gentlr pressure. Soft thermoplaxtic skins are mechanically mounted, and thanks to an innovartive system, the T-Lock, they can be substiuted or changed for a unique custom look.

Key materials used are as follows:

Kynetium 

Revolutionary aerospatial aluminium alloy which combines Magnesium, Silicium and Titanium; the refined mixture of lightness (Mg), strength (Ti) and elasticity (Si) allowed for the major breakthroughs and radical advances in the design specifications, giving Rudy Project's engineers the ability to create stunning masterpieces.

The advance and ultralight Kinetyum areopsatial alloy is used to create the ergonomic temples of many Rudy Projects sunglasses. 

Grilamid TR 55/90 Frame 

The Grilamid TR 55 high quality thermoplastic material, is shock resistant, lightweight and non allergenic. It is used in Rudy Project's advance sunglasses because of its stability and durability. (Keeps its shape even under stress).

Grilamid is flexible, safe and resistant material that Rudy Project uses in many frames to offer durable and comfortable sunglasses.

Titanium 

Strong, low-density, highly corrosion-resistant, metallic element that occurs widely in igneous rocks and is used to alloy aircraft metals for low weight, strength and high-temperature stability. 

Alpacca 

A metal composite of sterling silver with a small amount of nickel to increase strength and durability. 

Carbonium Frame 

Composite plastic material mixed with carbon molecules. Offer a lightweight, durable and technical problems. Karboneye 'S temples are made with ultralight and resistant carbon fibre.

Copper-Berillium

A super light alloy mixture of copper and beryllium with special heat treatment to increase durability and flexibility. 

Monel

A nickel-copper extraction characterised by a high level of resistance to corrosion and extreme temperatures. Excellent elasticity.

Harmonic Steel

Steal combined with manganese silicon that makes it highly malleable and flexible to facilities the insertion of RX Clip-ons.

Megol 

Soft hypo-allergenic rubber used for temples and nose pads that offer a high degree of elasticity for maximum comfort.

Lightweight

IMPACTX lenses are 16% lighter than CR-39 and 10% lighter than polycarbonate, resulting in sharper images, higher definition reduces "rainbowing", and more visual comfort. The program offers cutting - edge photochromic and polarised technology for unparalleled weather management. 

Photochromic Technology

Unlike most photochromic standard lenses, IMPACTX lenses are fused in mass the polymer itself with a complex manufacturing process, making it  more resistant and clearly optically superior to most competitors.

IMPACTX is a family of patented polyurethane optical polymers, transparent and unbreakable, originally developed for military and aerospace requirements to provide bullet-   proof, transparent, and light-weight material capable of providing superior protection, reliability and longer lasting performance than polycarbonate. 

Polar 3FX HDR

After years of intense research, Rudy Project have updated their Polar3FX technology to take your vision to the next level. Polar3FX HDR technology eliminates glare providing superior visual comfort, enhanced contrast and contours. In addition, the new Polar3FX lenses incorporate the HDDR (high dynamic range) filter to further define contrast and colour perception. To ensure maximum toughness and durability, Rudy Project have boosted the Polar 3FX lenses with the revolutionary 3FX Coating anti smudge and anti gaining treatment.

Polar 3FX technology is designed to filter glare from car headlights, sun rays and the refracted light on wet or shiny surfaces like water and snow. HDR Technology 

The HDR filter is designed to boost your colour experience by turning the wave length of the light passing through the lens. By actively refining the intensity of various wave lengths of light and by optimising of the visible, the HDR filter provides extraordinary visual performance. In addition to a maximised chromatic range, benefits include superior perception, sharper image and unparalleled definition. 

3FX Coating

This state-of-the-art coating has been developed to make Polar3FX  lenses tougher and more durable, The 3FX coating is a hydrophobic barrier which minimises the formation of smudges. This treatment is designed to enable water slipping on the surface, to prevent stains and fingerprints and to make cleaning easier.

RP Optics

RP Optics lenses protect again harmful UV rays up to 400 nm and offer a range of over 30 available colours. Ideal for athletes and weekend warriors who demand performance but accept no compromise when it comes to appearance, RP Optics are t he industry benchmark in polycarbonate lenses thanks to their high impact resistance and the wide selection of coatings and colours available. Rudy Project R&D department carried out a set of scientific researches to design static lenses targeted to different uses.

RP Optics is a design philosophy that aims to improve visual performance and eye protection by means of selective lenses with high optical and mechanical performance, combined with the most advanced technologies and scientific applications.

Rudy Project lens program has features common to every type of lens, such as neutralising ultraviolet radiation completely up to 400 nm (UV 400 Protection), and maintains colours integrity even with the dark filter,. Rudy Project believe its not enough to protect the eyes from hazardous radiation and external agents. It also important to enhance visual acuity and minimise distortion, while offering high quality optics suitable for sports. In some extreme conditions an athlete must rely on technologies to enhance performance and minimise distractions. For this reason, Rudy Project have expanded the range to filters with specific treatments including anti-fog, hydrophobic and photochromic technology.
