Swimming Top 10

What you need to Consider

Swimming Feature

Goggles are a big part of your kit, but often the most under valued. They help protecting your eyes from the sun, glare and improve your vision underwater. Whether you are swimming in the pool or braving the outdoor swimming we have everything you will need when it comes to your swimming googles.

Below we have provided advice on selecting the best open swimming goggles/ indoor swimming goggles and our recommended top 10 goggles ranges for 2021 based on their excellent performance and reliability. Typically lightweight and strong, with excellent optical qualities and performance coated lenses, the brands are trusted and worn by the Pros. Only the highest standards are good enough, and you should expect the best.

Key Features for Outdoor Swimming Goggles

  • Wider field of vision - Larger curved lenses give greater visibility
  • Photochromic -  These will darken and lighten with the light making you able to swim outdoor in all types of weather and lighting conditions.
  • Mirror Coating - Reduce brightness and cut out glare.
  • Polarized - These reduce glare off the surface of the lens.
  • Prescription -  When you are swimming outside your vision is far more important than in the pool. If you cannot see that well there is a possibility that you could endanger your own life by not being able to see well enough to exit the water.
  • Anti-Fog Gel/Spray -  If you are worried about fogging (and the spit and sea water method isn’t working for you) there are some goggles that will include an anti-fog coating but if your favourite pair does not don't panick you can still get an Anti-fog gel or spray which will help eliminate fog. • Brown - Brown is a good choice for all-purpose wear. High-contrast browns and coppers will helping you to observing the changing contours.
  • Orange/Amber - Orange and Amber are good choices for partly sunny or varying conditions. In these light conditions they can help increase contrast.
  • Yellow - Its more effective in low light conditions such as swimming overcast/ cloudy days. It is superior in contrast enhancement.
  • Clear - This lens is suitable for low light and dark conditions. Ideal for swimming indoors.
